Welcome to the website of Lovedean Karate Club. We are a practicing traditional
SHOTOKAN karate club, affiliated to the
Shotokan of England Karate Union and following the teachings of the Japan Karate Association. Instruction at
LKC is led by Brian Smith sensei, 7th Dan who has in excess of 47 years karate experience. From our humble beginnings in 1982,
LKC seen over 40 students achieve a karateka's (karate student) ultimate karate goal that of gaining their much coveted black belt. At competitions
LKC, has maintained repeated success over the years at regional, national and international levels.
Lovedean Karate Club draw students from a range of areas including Waterlooville, Horndean, Cowplain, Purbrook, Denmead and Petersfield with some students travelling from as far a field as Portsmouth, and Havant. ALL instructors at
LKC have had a DBS check for your peace of mind. If you are new to karate, currently training or returning after a break,
LKC are always here ready to help.
